THIS is bizarre
OK, this is a strange picture! When you read the accompanying caption it gets even stranger:
"LEFT Richard leads the practice session, calling out instructions and correcting mistakes. Feet are always kept flat on the floor to avoid any accidents."
My extremely funny daughter, Lauren, found this in the January issue of the British Edition of "Country Living" magazine. Lauren's humor runs to the British kind (no wonder she buys the British version of magazines!)
Since there were bells (bell tower bells) pictured alongside this bizarre picture, it didn't take too long to figure out that old Richard wasn't leading a hanging class.
Just long enough for Lauren to do a monologue about the picture which had me rolling on the floor. She told me that the picture came from Part One of a four-part class. The first class only covered knot tying and proper posture - hence the need to keep the feet flat on the floor. She also mentioned that the fee was due up-front, for obvious reasons...she also said some strange things about Richard, but you would have had to hear them first hand...Laur says these things dead-pan (and she's terribly British, now that I come to think of it - or at least reserved New Englandy) so you just dont' see it coming.
