In our very own dear little yard - separated by approximately 12 hours - we had two sightings.
The first one was announced by my oldest daughter: "Dad's walking around the neighborhood without his shirt again. People will report a sighting of Sasquatch." "Ahhhh", she continued, "it's coming toward the house!"
And she spotted the second one, too - she's got good eyes. Among the prolific (over 100 flowers on one plant) blooms on a new day lily that she'd planted in Fall - she saw a praying mantis.
We oohed and ahhed. She told me that having one was an honor - and that this was the first in our garden. We ran for the camera. The praying mantis turned his/her head toward the camera! twice!!
Her father probably would have turned toward the camera, too - but you really don't want to see that.
Oh my gosh, that's FUNNY!

Amazing. I really would liked to have seen that...the second sighting, not the first, of course.
