The screenshot (above) if from my latest video, a piece I made for Lisa Rough's Summer Hullabaloo blog series (amusingly - or not - this is the best thumbnail).
In the video I tell the story of my awakening to the fact that life is not fair - but this is a positive video, honestly! Because awakening to that fact (that life is not fair) brought me closer to other people (and more aware of each precious moment)!
Come on over and watch, it's only a wee bit over 5 minutes long (and only one swear word, if I remember correctly) - plus you'll get to hear my naked-in-contacts story.
Lisa's introduction to the Summer Hullabaloo series describes the gathering as "…an intimate and sometimes vulnerable celebration of the human spirit" - she notes that our stories are wrapped around "courage, tenacity, and hope" - and indeed they are! And there are so many of them at the Hullabaloo - treat yourself to some of the loveliness.
p.s. yes, you did hear me say "unjustice" rather than "injustice" - ooops! (I mean, if you watched the video).
This is GREAT Karen! I loved it and totally agree with you.
